Leaving the shores of the Port Harcourt, it finally dawned on me: I am actually doing this.
This is the trip I had envisioned all year long. The one I planned in my head a million times since January. Yet, as the bus left PH, the initial motivation had vanished a long time ago but something new surfaced.
Now, this journey isn’t about the original plan. It’s about exploration. It’s about fighting for something I hold dear. The past few weeks have been… a lot.
But when I arrived at my destination, it all made sense.
I am here for the change of environment I so desperately needed. I am here for the fun I meticulously envisioned. I am here for the friends I’ve been longing to see. I am here for the places I am hungry to explore.
This new motivation—this clarity—is what I will hold onto. It makes so much sense.
I’ll write more about this experience as I live it.
