Yesterday, I struggled all day to write a post. At some point, I decided to stop because the essence of this blog is to write freely and openly.
But then, while I was listening to music, "I Got My Smile Back" by Stormzy played. It was the first time I’d heard the song, and it triggered something in me. I instantly remembered that I am actually happy.
Remember the trip that I took? Well, it turned out to be more fun than I could possibly have imagined. From my host being an incredibly kind person to his friend who came over—we immediately clicked as if we’d known each other for years.
It was a journey I let go, so I could fight for something more important. To think that’s what would happen is funny.
I’ll try to give details of this trip in the following weeks, but for now, I'm going to enjoy every bit of this smile I got back.
